Activity: Post Breakup Correspondence

Participants: Undisclosed but verified

A rocky and turbulent on-again-off-again relationship was followed by an equally dischordant breakup. This time our victim was clear. It was over. Manspam perp alternately turned on the charm to woo her back, then resorted to mind games and finally his old standby, abuse. She stood firm.

Then she received an email from him, with an attachment. He said he missed her and had something for her that he hoped would change her mind. She opened the attachment - a picture. It was a self portrait. It did not include his face.

Manspam Offense: Emailing a picture of your private anatomy to a woman who has clearly and repeatedly communicated that she is no longer interested in having any part of you -- not even that part.

Advice to men wishing to avoid this Manspam offense:

  1. If she repeatedly says its over, it's over.
  2. Men are visual creatures, women typically not so much. Sending her a picture of your purple-headed love warrior - especially at her workplace - will not win her back.

Advice to women receiving emails with attachments from overly persistent ex-boyfriends:

  1. Do not open them.
  2. Delete. Delete. Delete.
